It looks like 3-D is set to be an intergral part of the feature film industry and as Vancouver is the 3rd largest film production centre in North America, crews here are in training for the busy year ahead.
…Members of Vancouver-based Local 669 of the International Photographers Guild are on the film set for The Hole 3D , a horror thriller directed by Joe Dante to get on-the-job training with the digital camera equipment.
…Disney Studios is in pre-production in Vancouver for Tron 2, a big-budget 3-D remake of the 1982 adventure film, and it is rumoured that a half-dozen more American 3-D features will come to Canada to shoot before the year ends.
