Canadian Director unites Global Actors

moredance.05-12-05.jpgCanadian based actor, improviser, filmmaker, writer and director Dana Andersen will be directing an extreme marathon which stages an epic 50 hour improvised play, in association with Canadian comedy award winners Die Nasty, The Sticking Place, best known as the group behind the critically acclaimed improvised musical Showstopper!

…The 50 actors and musicians will attempt a non-stop 50 hour performance, bringing together some of the finest improvisers from London, Liverpool, Canada, Austria and Australia.

The so called “Improvathon” was the brainchild of the late Ken Campbell who visited Edmonton, Canada and witnessed Die Nasty’s annual 53-hour show.

…“As the perfomers go deeper into sleeplessness they are reduced to their ‘lizard brain’ state and are no longer able to censor themselves, resulting in a unique, euphoric live performance where anything can happen!”

The “Improvathon” begins at 7pm on Friday 6 February and end at 9pm on Sunday 8 February, at the People Show Studios in Bethnal Green.
