The new CBC TV comedy series Being Erica stars 30 year old Canadian actress Erin Karpluk who auditioned for the role on tape in Vancouver and was then flown to Toronto.

…Karpluk’s character, Erica has a dysfunctional Jewish family, with her mother played by comic actor Kathy Laskey.
